Hi my name is Zeottu, I am a full-time distance student at Massey University. I study Organisational Technology Management and Entrepreneurship and innovation while I travel around the world full time. More and more my life has revolved around interaction with computers, for study and to stay connected to people I love.
I clearly remember the day my family got our first computer, a hand-me-down from a local computer teacher. The plastic casing of the monitor proudly proclaimed Low Radiation in a label printed across the whole top edge. It was a luxury for us, a family living below the bread line. It was my fathers' computer that he got for the I.T course he was forced to do by WINZ, despite the fact that he was legally blind in both eyes. He struggles his way through the course and somehow managed to pass and we got a great new toy, hours were spent assessing the SEGA emulator through the DOS system. Computer systems and the world has come along way from those days and so has its role mine and most other peoples lives.
Why I started this blog
Concerned about the growing encroachment of social media on our lives, I have taken to researching and writing about the negative impacts of our interconnected world. I am by no means an expert on the matter but hope to highlight more about these important issues.
I can be reached via the contact form on the home page or at socialaddictions@gmail.com
